I just finished the oral interview portion of the Japanese placement test and recieved my score. I actually placed to Japanese course 3! =D
I’m happy, but I also don’t feel I am really at that level.:face37:

Well, I have to wait until the spring to be able to take Japanese 3, so I have plenty of time to catch up then. It sort of works out as well, because I couldn’t fit the Japanese 2 course into my class scedule for the upcoming winter quarter without going over class the unit limit.thmisc-24

Recently, I have been thinking about making some live broadcasts on the English version of Niconico Douga to help my speaking ability. I’m unsure though, because I’ve been so busy lately with school itself. Plus, next week is finals! However, afterwards, I will have a month of break, so it may still be a good time.

Well, later.

It’s Testing Time

I’m going to be taking a Japanese placement test for university courses on the 15th. The last time I took Japanese was at my community college in the springtime. I haven’t been studying ever since, so my Japanese is pretty bad now. (On top of that, I’ve got lots of other tests to worry about more!themoticon-15) I just hope I get to place well enough to put me into the Japanese 2 course. I’m glad that at my CC, we actually covered more than the Japanese 1 here at uni.

If anyone reads my blog, please wish me luck!10

まあ。。。 私は うまく やって ほしい。

こううんを ねがって ほしいしてください!03

Edit:

But besides the Japanese placement test, I'm more worried about everything I have to do/have done by tomorrow! I've got a midterm test and also need to finish math homework... I've been SO lazy and haven't studied at all nor started the homework. I also forgot to bring my math book with me back home over the weekend! angry

Being that it was a three-day weekend for US (Friday was Veteran's Day holiday), I know I should have been at least a bit more productive... Luckily, the homework assignment doesn't have too many problems to do this week, and hopefully, it doesn't take too long to complete. I'm still incredibly worried about the midterm though!! *cry*

I Like Getting Freebies

Well, who doesn’t? lol

Since the start of fall quarter at uni, there have been several school activities fairs & events, which equal to freebies!

Most often, I had to fill an e-mail card in order to get the free items though... TIP: Try to designate a spam e-mail account for these type of things. There was another event going on today, but some of the booths made you like them on Facebook first. Not cool for those do not have a smart phone + internet (me). :face11:

At least the booth giving out free t-shirts had computers set out for people to use and ’like’. The internet was so slow. It took probably an hour for me to finally get to the the front of the line (there were maybe about only 30 people max. ahead?), and I just borrowed my cousin’s phone to use instead. I’m happy I was able to get my shirt though.

Here’s what I was able to get today!
(a small number of things are from yesterday)
There were actually quite a few local dental groups, and I got some free toothbrushes, floss, & toothpaste! Funny, because I got a lot of free soda at the event too.

Many of the other freebies I’ve gotten are cups, pens, tote bags, and frisbees. So far, I think the best things I’ve gotten are the free shirts from the university booths. I’m going to try to collect as many free shirts as I can! (Well, I’m already paying so much for school tuition, might as well try to get the most out of it, right?)

I love going to the booths with the spinning wheels. It’s so exciting seeing what you’re going to get/hope for what you want while the wheel spins. Although, I usually don’t get the things I want... boo.thUntitled-3-1 I’ve got poor luck, it seems.

Beside events, I also learned that some clubs may give out small freebies, at least for the first club meeting. It’s just incentives to try to get some new potential members interested. I wonder if some people only go to the 1st club meetings to try to get free items? Should I try it out next year? haha

Well, I think it’s a good thing to try to get freebies if your school gives them out too. Especially when you’re a poor college student out of many, you can snag yourself some school supplies and possibly food.

See you next post,
